VIDEOGRAPHY AND MUSIC
Videography and music are the two primary things my life has consistently been consumed with. It's funny looking back, because I see how even as a child you could see that these things were bound to become my career one day.

All growing up I was involved in music lessons. I was in piano, guitar, and vocal lessons up to senior year of high school. I started writing music as early as kindergarten. I recorded my first song in 3rd grade but don't get excited, that is only for my ears to hear. Yikes. I continued writing but was really private about it. One of my goals with the channel is to release music, be more open about the stories behind the songs, and to be more confident in my abilities as a musician. So, if you're on this journey with me, hold me accountable! When I got into high school I participated in show choir, choir, music, pretty much all the musical stuff you could. It was at that point as well I began opening up and sharing my music publicly, performing 2 originals at the yearly variety show.

High school was also a takeoff point for my videography. I started making videos in the 4th grade on my moms laptop with iMovie (what kid doesn't??). But I took a more extreme liking to the subject convincing my mom to paint our garage green for a green screen and also producing a whole video series with my 3 best friends (also never to be seen by the public eye). For any school project, if there was ever a video option, I was there. And come high school, this is primarily what initiated my videography career. As teachers started to compliment my video skills, I started to realize that it actually was something I enjoyed and might be good at doing. I began making weekly football videos then for my school, got a camera, and eventually became the schools go to "video girl" for any extra curricular activity. I began to also do freelance work on the side and through all of this learned pretty much everything I know today. When I went away to Australia I chose the "video/film track" to focus on alongside my biblical studies which helped teach me some more about industry level production. The last year I spent focusing on capturing the life around me, learning a balance between enjoying the moment vs. capturing the moment, and learning the power of story.

I am a major advocate for turning your passions into your career and that is exactly what I am in the process of doing now. I hope to continue making videos of life around me, and to write and produce music for you guys!
